Support Groups

Columbus Support Group Registration

Cornerstone of Hope offers support groups quarterly throughout the year. All groups are open to all, regardless of ethnic, cultural and faith backgrounds. They are led by professionally trained and experienced facilitators. Each meeting is two hours long and includes a light dinner. Support groups are offered free of cost to participants. Please register at least one week in advance to group starting.

Hope and Healing Grief Support Group
This 10-week group is for adults grieving the loss of a loved one. Each week will cover different topics related to your grief journey. This group is led by professionally trained facilitators, and will assist you in coping with your loss in a safe and supportive environment.

Loss to Suicide Support Group
When a person has lost a loved one by suicide, their grief can be complicated. Cornerstone of Hope is offering a group specifically for survivors. General bereavement issues will be addressed by with particular attention given to the specific needs that arise due to loss by suicide.

Loss of a Loved One Who Served in the Military
For adults grieving a death of a loved one who served in the military, regardless of the relationship to the deceased or the circumstances of the death. Join us as we provide support, care and hope with resources along with personal contact to fellow survivors in a spirit of friendship and understanding.

Expressive Arts for Teens Support Group
This group is designed to assist grieving teens (Ages 13-17) in expressing thoughts and feelings that are difficult to discuss through the utilization of expressive arts. This type of non-verbal communication will help them explore their emotions safely in a supportive environment. Music, journaling, body movement, drawing, painting, and other expressive activities will be used throughout this group.

In-School Groups
We are once again offering in school grief support groups for students of all ages who have experienced the death of a loved one. The support group is designed to allow students to come together and receive age appropriate grief support in the familiarity of their own school. School support groups are a safe way to share feelings, find ways to cope with loss and build friendships. Grief counselors trained to help grieving children and young adults utilize expressive arts, games, stories and discussions to facilitate group.
