School Programs

Individual Grief Counseling Using Art & Creative Therapies
Available to children and teens 5-18 years of age
Sessions are held at Cornerstone of Hope or in the school
Average length of session is 40-60 minutes
Average number of sessions per child is 8-10
One time fee per child based on income level

Professional Trainings and Educational Presentations
All-Day or Half-Day Training available for Guidance Counselors, School Psychologist, Social Workers and Teachers

School Crisis Response Team
Available when a tragedy such as the sudden death of a student or teacher has occurred
Provide student and staff debriefing, classroom presentations, and individual support


School Support Groups:

8 week long grief support groups run by Cornerstone of Hope counselor in conjunction with school counselor
During school hours

Grief and Bereavement Education and Training:
Education and training on multiple grief and bereavement issues offered to school counselors, social workers, psychologists, administration and staff (see education section for list of topics)

Continuing Education credits for counselors, social workers and marriage and family therapists through the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.

School Crisis Response Team Training:
3 day, 20 hour training on school crisis response when there is a death or crisis in or around the schools. This training is offered at different times throughout the year in Central Ohio. Please call Cornerstone of Hope Columbus offices to inquire at 614.824.4285
