Updated Thursday, April 30th, 2020 at 5:00pm

We hope this communication finds you and your family well during this difficult time.  We know that everyone has experienced hardship, and this has been a particularly challenging time for grievers.  Cornerstone of Hope is here for you, offering grief counseling, as well as counseling for anxiety, depression, stress, isolation, and more.

In accordance with Responsible RestartOhio, Cornerstone of Hope will reopen our offices on Monday, May 11th.  We will be offering individual counseling and support group counseling in groups of less than 10 individuals.   We are following State of Ohio guidelines and have taken the following steps to reopen our office to maintain the safety of clients, volunteers, and staff.

  • All clients, volunteers, and staff will perform a Health Self-Assessment before entering the facility.  To review the Health Self-Assessment, click Here.
  • All clients, volunteers, and staff must wear face masks in the facility until further notice.
  • Safe social distancing will be practiced – six feet between people will be maintained in the facility, and seating will be spaced out accordingly.
  • Frequent cleaning and sanitizing will be performed in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
  • Support Groups will begin on June 22nd.  To register, please contact 216.524.4673.
  • Please note that remote counseling via phone or online platforms is still available for counseling from your own homes.

As we continue to learn about the coronavirus (COVID-19) like many of you, we are taking the necessary steps to minimize its impact on Cornerstone of Hope’s services and programs. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers, staff, and interns. Cornerstone of Hope remains committed to providing you hope, while we are adapting our daily activities to meet the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control Prevention (CDC) and the State of Ohio. We understand the difficulty of the situation and we are here to support you in every way possible.

In response to these challenges, we’re pleased to announce that we are now offering Telehealth, a virtual counseling service. Telehealth will allow us to continue offering our grief counseling services while minimizing interruption of services and upholding a high standard of care. Offering Telehealth will also allow us to provide counseling to anyone in the state of Ohio through video and phone conferencing. Please call our office to schedule an appointment. Click here to learn more about Telehealth.

For the safety and well-being of our community of clients, staff, and volunteers, we are not seeing clients in our building. However, we can be reached by phone from 9am – 5pm to set up a Telehealth appointment. We are confident that by moving to Telehealth we can remain closely connected to our clients.
