Monthly Education Series: Grief Matters
Grief Matters is a monthly education series designed to provide opportunities to explore and manage grief in new ways. Recognizing that the experience of grief is both unique and universal, Grief Matters offers additional support for those striving to learn, grow, connect, and heal. Each month, a topic or activity is presented that may help improve wellness and coping through education, self-care, and emotional expression. Participants are encouraged to try new skills and incorporate them into their lives if appropriate for their personal grief journey.
Guided by the Christian values of compassion and service, Cornerstone of Hope is dedicated to providing support, education, and hope for the grieving. All are welcome as we strive to create a world where no grieving person journeys alone. Grief Matters is an extension of our services, and each program is presented in a manner that aligns with our values and mission. Following the example of Jesus’ ministry, Grief Matters serves to foster healing in body, mind, and spirit, especially since grief impacts physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. We hope that participants will feel welcomed into the Cornerstone of Hope community and emerge with a renewed sense of purpose.
Please join us the last Wednesday of each month for a different topic or activity…because your grief matters!

Murals, Mocktails, and Mourning | Wednesday, May 26 at 6 p.m.
Expressing our grief is essential to the healing process and our overall wellness. Attendees will participate in a step-by-step painting activity and take their completed work home at the end of the event. No artistic skills are required and all supplies will be provided. Light refreshments will be served. Please note this event will be held outside and is weather permitting.
Men Grieve, Too | Wednesday, June 23 at 6 p.m.
