In-School Grief Support Groups

Cornerstone of Hope is pleased to partner with area schools to offer in-school grief support groups to students who have experienced the death of a loved one. This group, which can be offered both virtually or in-person, allows students to receive age appropriate grief support in the familiarity of their own school. Group members gain a better understanding of the grief process and learn healthy ways to cope with their feelings.

School grief group counselors are trained to support grieving children and teens by using a tested curriculum specific to the developmental stage of the students. Expressive arts, games, stories and discussion are used to help your students heal. Participation in our specialized grief groups is a safe and effective way to share feelings and learn to cope with loss while building supportive friendships.
