Overview

Recovery from addiction can be a challenging and rewarding process for both the addict and those walking through it with them. 

This training will seek to equip attendees with an overview of the impact of addiction on the brain, phases of recovery, the role of the therapist, what may be contributing to their addiction, practical steps to help people make progress toward recovery, implementation of relapse prevention, faith in the midst of healing from addiction and how to utilize the power of relationship.

  1. Explore the culture of addiction with treatment interventions for persons diagnosed with a chemical dependency who are also grieving
  2. Learn how to deal with set-backs in addiction treatment that may come as a result of grief.
