Article, "Be Patient with Yourself, Others When Grieving During Holidays" Features Ellifritt and Other Area Grief Experts
Cleveland, Ohio (April 2, 2023) - With Passover and Easter quickly approaching, Cornerstone of Hope's Education Director, Julia Ellifritt, recently advised on grieving during the holidays in an article for Cleveland Jewish News. The April 2 article, "Be Patient with Yourself, Others When Grieving During Holidays" provides readers with professional advice from Ellifritt as well as from other area grief experts.
Julia shares how to incorporate a loved one who has passed into the current holiday celebration.
“I encourage people to keep that person alive by including their memory in their holiday traditions. Whatever that was, whether it was through the Seder meal or whatever else, think ‘how would grandpa have participated?’ Use that person’s name. It’s OK to say their name – everyone is thinking about it. It’s about processing this as a group.”
