We offer Crisis Management, Disenfranchised Grief, The Impact of Grief on Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, Forgiveness, Suicide, Opioid Loss, Cultural Competence, The Impact of Culture in Clinical Supervision, School Crisis Team Training, Theology of Grief, and many other topics.
We offer half-day educational programs on a variety of topics. In addition, we regularly offer Group Facilitator Trainings and Advanced Grief Group Facilitation Skills.
Group Facilitator Training is offered at our Columbus, Ohio location. We also work with organizations to design an educational program that meets the needs of their staff.
We offer Anticipatory Grief, Boundaries, Building Up Kids, Creative Interventions, Ethics, Grief & Traumatic Loss, Group Dynamics & Interventions, Integrating Counseling & Faith, Parent Support, Self-Regulations, Stress, Anxiety & Depression, and Marriage Training.
Cornerstone of Hope offers grief facilitator training for school counselors, clinical counselors, social workers, psychologists, administration and organization leadership. This training provides the necessary knowledge and skills that will allow you to conduct grief support groups at Cornerstone of Hope as a member of our PRN Staff, or at your own organization. The course is designed to be educational and interactive, with opportunities to explore personal loss histories, and is facilitated by licensed professionals.

Interested in Learning More About Grief or Facilitating a Support Group?
Cornerstone of Hope is offering a free program to train professionals to facilitate traumatic loss grief support groups in the four counties of Crawford, Delaware, Marion, and Morrow. The training is sponsored by the Delaware Morrow Marion Crawford Mental Health and Recovery Services Boards through the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team, which provides postvention support to survivors of suicide and overdose loss.
Eligible participants include clinical counselors, social workers, psychologists, frontline workers, ministers, and others in the helping field who live/work in one of the four counties of Crawford, Delaware, Marion or Morrow. We are looking for qualities that include but are not limited to the following:
• Knowledge of traumatic loss and grief
• Trauma informed practice
• Flexibility to facilitate group sessions
This program is eligible for the certificate in Traumatic Loss Group Facilitation from Cornerstone of Hope. Candidates that complete the training will be eligible for contracted work with Cornerstone of Hope to facilitate Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team support groups.

Schools have their own crisis plan, however, the challenge is having enough trained staff to meet the need when there is a sudden loss. This training is designed for private and public schools who intend on developing a team within your district, or in combination with other schools or districts. This training is also in partnership with ESC of Northeast Ohio.

Interns receive a high level of clinical supervision, including one hour per week of individual supervision and two hours per week of group supervision. 2nd year graduate students are eligible to apply. Interns are required to commit to two consecutive semesters for their clinical field placement.
