School Crisis Team Training

18 CEUs · $495

Overview

Schools have their own crisis plan; however, the challenge is having enough trained staff to meet the need when there is a sudden loss. Designed for private and public schools who intend on developing a team within your district, or in combination with other schools/districts.

This three-day workshop will provide specific training about child and adolescent grief, trauma and related issues; crisis preparation and response; and the specific roles, functions and development of the crisis.  Participants will practice skills and develop social media and communication policies for their schools.

  1. Understand grief and loss, and how it impacts schools
  2. Develop a crisis response plan for when a student or school employee dies
  3. Gain a greater understanding of the mental health needs of children
