Special Guest Speaker Jennifer Bullock of NBC4 to Share Story of Loss and Hope
Columbus, Ohio (April 29, 2023) – Cornerstone of Hope, Ohio’s leading nonprofit grief center, is hosting a Mother’s Day Tea for mothers who have experienced the loss of a child due to any circumstance on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees will enjoy light brunch and fellowship while hearing an inspirational and encouraging personal grief story from guest speaker Jennifer Bullock, NBC4 Weekday Afternoon Anchor.
Bullock, having lost her son, Miles Owen at 33 weeks in October 2021, feels called to support mothers and families grieving the loss of a child through sharing her experience with other moms in the Columbus area.
“Through his life and death, Miles has given my family a newfound purpose to support grieving families, educate others about stillbirths, and to love each other as hard as we can for as long as we can,” explains Jennifer, “I am honored to be able to work alongside Cornerstone of Hope in their efforts to bring hope to grieving mothers at a time that can be particularly painful for them.”
Mother’s Day can be a sad and oftentimes isolating day for moms who are grieving the loss of a child. While others are celebrating with their children and families, grieving mothers who have lost a child are left to mourn the fact that they cannot experience this with the child they have lost. Cornerstone of Hope’s Mother’s Day Tea brings together mothers with the shared experience of losing a child to celebrate and remember the children that will always remain in their hearts and minds.
Registration is open now through April 21, 2023. There is a suggested contribution of $25 to attend, but any amount is welcome. To register, visit cornerstoneofhope.org/columbus or call 614-824-4285.
