Grief Support Group Facilitator Training

Overview

This course is open to any professional interested in learning more about grief and loss, and how to help others through their bereavement journey. This workshop is educational and interactive –participants will learn basic and complicated grief interventions, as well as advanced group facilitation skills.

In addition, they will practice their group facilitation skills with each other, Groupwork, as well as grief work spans all generations, races and socioeconomic groups, and is a skill that will enhance any clinician’s practice. 

  1. Identify interventions for disruptive group members
  2. Practice learned skills via role-playing.
  3. Identify clinical differences in individual counseling vs support groups

Dates (Must attend both days)

  • Tuesday, August 13–Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
