Kim Turner, LISW-S
In February 2022, I joined Cornerstone of Hope as a Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team Coordinator after working as a program manager for an adult counseling agency. My primary goal is coordinating postvention efforts throughout the Mid-Ohio region. This role involves significant collaboration with regional stakeholders, including local law enforcement, coroner's offices, and mental health boards, a task I approach with enthusiasm and dedication. Additionally, I serve as a chaplain with the Marion County Sheriff. My career is driven by a passion to make a meaningful impact by providing safe guidance and effective support to others, while actively reducing barriers for care. I enjoy playing the Ukulele and spending time with family, friends, and my two poodles in my spare time.
Amanda Abdon
Hello, I joined Cornerstone of Hope at the end of September 2024. I have been honored for the past eleven years to have the privilege serving victims of all crimes in Morrow County. I was an advocate for the Victim Witness Program through the Morrow County Prosecutors Office. I always had a passion to help others in need. I am beyond thrilled to join the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Team. I enjoy spending time with my children and taking last minute trips.
Alicia Cowles
I joined the Cornerstone of Hope Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response team at the end of June 2024. As a survivor of traumatic loss, I feel called to help others as they navigate their grief. I am an Aging Specialist with a background in advocacy for older Ohioans and individuals with a disability across the life span. I hold a Master's degree in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am passionate about promoting excellence in all services, empowering individuals to make decisions regarding their health, and educating all mental and physical health providers about Trauma Informed Care practices. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, writing poetry, reading, and snuggling my rescue pup, Abigail.
Emily Anderson
Emily is a Managing Funeral Director in Marion County and is a survivor of substance related loss. Emily is passionate about addressing the Marion drug epidemic from her personal experience. Emily works with individuals during the initial stage of grief and is a crucial link to survivors of traumatic loss for the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team. Emily’s wisdom and insight positively impacts others affected by traumatic events.
Dale Baker
Dale Baker is a Pastor/Chaplain in Marion County and chaplain with the Marion County Sheriff who works with the Marion Police Department. Dale is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and has a passion for serving victims of trauma and first responders. Dale provides comfort and wisdom when working with survivors and is an asset to the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team.
Allison Fish
Allison Fish has lost her sister to cancer and is a Nurse Manager with the Grady Emergency Department in Delaware County. Allison has spent time as a paramedic and a sexual assault nurse manager. She has over 18 years’ experience in the Emergency Department. Allison is personable and her skill set in emergency response is an asset to the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team.
Annette Holler
Annette Holler has direct experience related to traumatic loss, as her niece was killed in an alcohol related accident. Annette works for the Marion Crawford Prevention Programs as a Family Engagement Coordinator. Annette provides valuable and compassionate companionship services to survivors with the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team.
Anne McCabe
Anne is a survivor of suicide and has worked as a Pastor. Anne is a devoted volunteer who is always willing to provide community education and step up to join events to help educate others. Anne’s wisdom is cherished by the Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team
Stacy Schlotterbeck
Stacy is a survivor of traumatic loss after losing her son in a car accident. Stacy has a servant heart and is eager to volunteer for the team in addition to other organizations. Stacy provides valuable insight and compassion for survivors of traumatic loss. Her companionship provided to survivors in Delaware County is invaluable.
Joe Stafford
Joe is a pastor at Wesley Chapel in Galion, he is an ordained minister and holds his LPCC-S license. Joe graciously provides free counseling to survivors of traumatic loss and feels called to help others as they respond to Traumatic Loss. Joe is a faithful companion, volunteer, and friend to all.
Marianne Westbrook
Marianne is a suicide survivor, and she retired from the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a Physical Therapist. Marianne is skilled in patient-advocacy from time spent with Mount Carmel. Marianne is willing to help others impacted by traumatic loss and empowers others while they navigate their grief.
Deb Nasset
Deb is a survivor of suicide and has experience navigating this type of loss for over 28 years. Deb is a devoted facilitator for Grief Share and is a true advocate for survivors of suicide loss. She is always willing to help others and steps up for survivors in times of need. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and doting on her grandchildren.
Cindy Velt
Cindy is a survivor of suicide and substance related loss. Cindy has immersed herself in serving others through various organizations including Open Door Women’s Recovery Alliance. Cindy is an active member of her church and regularly assists with the Bereavement Group, helping serve meals after funerals in her parish. Cindy has a heart of gold. In her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with her grandchildren, and has a love of learning.
