About The Camp Team

Camp Leadership:
A team of employees at Cornerstone of Hope that are trained and assigned to make decisions pertaining to camp, facilitate camp operations and supervise camp programming. Camp Leadership works to ensure that each camp program is supportive to the grief journey of each camper.

Camp Nurse:
A Registered Nurse is present at each Cornerstone of Hope camp program. The Camp Nurse is present to provide medical care as needed. The Camp Nurse holds all applicable prescription and over the counter medications for campers.

Group Facilitators:
A team of staff and volunteers that directly supervise campers at Day Camp programs (Camp Memory and Camp Cornerstone). At least two Group Facilitators are assigned to each group of campers.

Cabin Buddies:
A team of staff and volunteers that directly supervise campers at the Overnight Camp program (Camp Lighthouse). At least two Cabin Buddies are assigned to each cabin of campers.

Field Trip Chaperones:
A team of staff and volunteers that directly supervise campers, in addition to regular Group Facilitators, while on a field trip at a Day Camp program. Additional supervision is provided during field trips to prioritize camper safety.

Support Team Volunteers:
A team of volunteers that help in areas such as registration and the kitchen to help make camp run smoothly.

* Please note that all volunteers are selected after a background check and fingerprints have been completed. All volunteers attend a mandatory training each year before camp to review safety protocols.
